While in Austin, the band ventured 15 miles south of the city to CEDAR CREEK STUDIOS for an interview, shoot, and acoustic session for Austin Fusion Magazine...it was a treat for everyone. Standing Shadows performed "Just A Part Of Me" and "Struggle Of Our Lives" with acoustics and the studio's baby grand...quickly the crew became backup singers and local Austin rapper, ZEALE, joined in for a Freestyle jam of "Silent Revolution"!!! SXSW ADVENTURES
We're back in LA after a longhaul through the Southwest, the terential downpour of Texas, and an amazing week of performances in Austin during SXSW!! Here's a glimpse into our adventure with photos and video footage of our travels, LOOK Sessions, acoustic sets with Austin Fusion Magazine, festival stages, street drum battles, and the general madness of SXSW! (....what you don't get to see is footage of us driving down the highway forgetting that the trailer is wide open!! it happened at least twice!)
We performed a total of six times during SXSW music week: Rusty's, Quantum Collective Whole Foods Rooftop, Sea Now Showcase, Austin Fusion Magazine Sessions at Cedar Creek Studios, Texas Rockfest, and Chuggin' Monkey - we performed with awesome bands such as:Nico Vega, Semi Precious Weapons, Imagine Dragons, Vanaprasta, Andy Clockwise, The Silent Comedy, The Chevin, Kosha Dillz, Capital Cities, Jenny O., Blondfire, PK, Hunter Valentine, Voxhaul Broadcast, Warner Drive, The Cringe, White Arrows, etc, etc.
