The original version of "Freakshow" was recorded and produced when Standing Shadows recently spent weeks in the Joshua Tree desert with veteran producer Chris Goss (Queens Of The Stone Age, UNKLE, Duke Spirit, The Cult). Recorded at Rancho de la Luna with engineer Ethan Allen (Gram Rabbit, Daniel Lanois, Spindrift), the band sweated out 3 new songs in the ungodly desert heat! Songs include the wild & energetic “Freakshow” (releases Oct 4), epic-heartfelt “Just A Part Of Me” (releases Nov 1), & the song "One by One" (releases Dec 6) features Dave Catching (QOTSA, Eagles Of Death Metal) on guitar.
We found some truly talented remix DJ's for this EP! DJ DNA did a techno-dubstep-electro version of "Freakshow"... DJ's IV Legend and Matt Becks combined forces to create their DJ super-group Grammar, and did an amazing remix of "Bright Lights"... our very own Dan Silver aka Silver Sessions did a head bouncing electro version of "We Are Everlasting"... and the great gdub returned to do another remix for us... this time to the title track "Freakshow"!!
